List Building - List Building With Co-Registration

The number one hurdle in obtaining quality opt in leads using the co registration method is that you have got to overcome the perception of being just one of the marketers at a particular event.

This means that you have to brand yourself as someone uniquely important and able to offer value in a way that others would not be able to and that you need to work on creating this perception with your list beginning at the web form capture page, continuing at the subject line, with the follow up email and then at the download product page and also at the backend.

Remember the difference between a lifelong customer and a one time opt in is often the perceived value that can be given to your customer based on the relationship that is cultivated and the amount of help you provide them in your niche area of expertise and also in helping them to build their business.

Also, in coregistration it is important to do your homework and choose your partners wisely.

Do these people have a good reputation as providing value consistently and treating their customers fairly?

If so you might consider asking them for a sample product or link to their product download page to see what it is that they will be offering the people who are also going to be your subscribers.

Many marketers will just agree to a co registration give a way event blindly for the purposes of generating new opt ins and never even consider the quality of the products that the coregistrator is offering or that they will also be sending the people on his list emails.

You might very well consider keeping in touch with the other marketers after the event so that you will know what it is that they are sending your opt ins.

This will help you when writing to them in your emails.

Remember, generally that co registration leads take longer to build trust, warm up and to buy from you and that they also opt out at a much quicker and higher rate than in house lists.

However, even with those facts being the case, coregistration can often provide alot of subscribers in a short amount of time.

If you have a particular high value to price product, then it might be a good time to venture in the co registration method.
